Our Family Liaisons are part of Cottonwood’s Community Team, and their mission is to help families feel connected and supported throughout their homeschooling journey. Each liaison serves in a unique dual role: we are both Cottonwood staff and Cottonwood parents, which means we understand firsthand the joys and challenges of homeschooling.
What We Do
- Weekly Park Days:Every liaison hosts a weekly park day, offering families a consistent space to connect, build friendships, and find encouragement.
- Cottonwood Community Groups (CCGs): Each liaison coordinates a Cottonwood Connect Group (CCG)—a regional community where families can connect with others who live, learn, and play nearby. CCGs make it easy to find your homeschool “neighborhood” within our larger Cottonwood community.
- Parent Community Facebook Group: We manage Cottonwood’s Parent Community Facebook Group, where families can share ideas, resources, and encouragement with one another.
- Info Inbox: Our team also manages the Info Inbox, ensuring that your questions and needs are received, understood, and directed to the right place.
Why It Matters
As both parents and staff, Family Liaisons are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between families and the school. We aim to represent both communities, building meaningful connections that make homeschooling with Cottonwood a collaborative, supported, and vibrant experience.
