Black history is American history. In 1926, Dr. Carter G. Woodson began a weeklong celebration that has since grown into an entire month dedicated to remembering the achievements, contributions, resilience, and legacies of Black Americans at a time when it was not commonly taught. In celebration of Black History Month, explore people, places, and stories from more than 400 national parks and communities across the country through National Park Service programs and partners and keep exploring African American heritage throughout the year. The Coppage Family
Black History Month Ambassador Family

The Coppage Family has been attending Cottonwood for 3 years now. We absolutely love what opportunities the school brings to our family. Our heritage is Puerto Rican, Dominican, African American, and Irish. We plan to explore more of our Irish and Dominican side. For fun we like to travel as a family. We will be going on a cruise this summer for a family reunion. Family is very important to us so we love creating memories of all the places we have been.
