ALEKS Math is a web-based adaptive program using adaptive questioning to quickly and accurately determine exactly what topics a student knows and doesn’t know in a course. Courses are year-long and allow students to follow an individualized learning path at their own pace. Topics are auto-graded to provide immediate feedback, and students cannot move on without mastery; unmastered topics are saved for later to prevent frustration.
By selecting “Start My Path,” ALEKS guides them to the next topic they are ready to learn, requiring mastery of three questions before advancing. Regular knowledge checks recalibrate the learning path, reintroducing unmastered topics as needed. Keeping a notebook is essential for better retention, mastery, and use during knowledge checks. A-G courses are offered.

- ALEKS provides automatic feedback to the student.
